Archibald Prize 2020 at the Cairns Art Gallery!

 

The Archibald Prize comes to Cairns for the first time in its 99 year history.

 

Prestigious and controversial, The Archibald Prize is Australia’s oldest and most respected award for portraiture.

 

Featuring portraits of some of Australia’s most well known faces, Cairns Art Gallery are offering free entry to this famous exhibition.

 

Exhibition is on for 6 weeks only – Exhibition dates: 20 March – 2 May 2021.

 

Visitors are being encouraged to book to avoid long waiting times and ensure Covid safe guidelines are being met. 

 

Cost: FREE

 

Open 7 days a week with extended hours:

Monday to Friday – 9.00am to 6.00pm
Saturday and Sunday – 9.00am to 5.00pm

Easter long weekend: Good Friday (2/4) – Closed / Easter Saturday (3/4), Easter Sunday (4/4) and Easter Monday (5/4) – 9.00am to 5.00pm
Anzac Day: Anzac Day (25/4) – Closed / Anzac Day Public Holiday (26/4) – Closed
