CAIRNS ART SOCIETY presents… Artists of the North.
The Artists of the North Exhibition is a presentation of the talent and formidable skills of our region’s artists.
The theme for this year’s exhibition is Humanity which is right on-trend for our time. Humanity is a significant quality which differentiates us from the rest of Earth’s fauna. It enables us to recognise, assist, and understand others wherever and whenever possible. It means putting aside our selfish interests. No matter our age, status, heritage or experiences, we are all capable of humanity.
Participating artists were asked to consider the essential meaning of Humanity:
1. The quality or state of being human
2. The quality or state of being kind to other people or to animals
3. All people; humankind
Launch: 6pm Friday 1 April
Exhibition Runs: March 28th to May 1st
