Cairns Art Society 76th Annual Art Exhibition
Cairns Art Society is one of north Queensland’s oldest and most respected community arts organisations. 2024 will be the 76th year the Society has held the much-anticipated exhibition of selected works submitted by Cairns Art Society Member artists and regional artists.
Cairns Art Society, a not-for-profit association, was formed in 1931 to ‘promote an interest in art and where possible help individual artists to achieve their aims’.
The annual exhibition has become increasingly competitive and is an important community event for artists of the region.
Each year a panel of independent judges choose the best entries for inclusion in the exhibition at the Cairns Art Gallery and a number of acquisitive and non-acquisitive prizes for categories such as best oil painting, best acrylic painting, best digital art are awarded on the night, generously donated by local businesses and individual sponsors.
Sponsors for 2024 include the Ireland Family, North Queensland Eye Clinic, Exemplar Coaches & Limousines, Halpin Partners, Omni Builders, Michael Healy MP and Highscan.
