Mother’s Day Classic Cairns at Cairns Esplanade – Coconut Grove (Northern End)
Be part of the Mother of all Classics on Sunday 11 May 2025 by registering to take part in the Cairns Mother’s Day Classic (MDC) walk or run event! The annual event has been held in major and regional locations since 1998, and in this time we have donated $47.3 million dollars to women’s cancers.
In 2025, we’re continuing raising money for both breast and ovarian cancer research. Why? Because each day 12 women lose their lives to these cancers. And that’s a tragedy we are committed to stopping.
Held on Mother’s Day (Sunday 11 May), Cairns Mother’s Day Classic provides the community a chance to raise awareness, vital funds for research, and honour those touched by breast and ovarian cancers.
As one of up to 80 running and walking events across the country, the Cairns Mother’s Day Classic will be BIG on community spirit, and we need your support more than ever!
The event is held on the Cairns Esplanade, starting at Coconut Grove near the Fun Ship Playground. You can walk 2.5km or 5km or if you are a runner we have a 5km or 10km event!
