Nautilus Scuba Club Cairns – Underwater Photography Competition Exhibition on at the Tanks Arts Centre
Hosted by the Tanks Arts Centre.
This exhibition showcases underwater images from members of the Nautilus Scuba Club Cairns who have entered the club’s annual underwater photo competition.
The categories include Macro, Portrait, Wide Angle and Behaviour. They give the viewer a pictorial window into the fascinating creatures and scenery that exist beneath the surface of our oceans; not just on the Great Barrier Reef but from Indonesia, PNG, the Philippines and other diverse places our club members find to go diving.
There is also a themed category entitled “Great Barrier Reef”, (must show the beauty of the local reefs), and a Portfolio Category in which photographers enter a set of five images which demonstrate their skill across all the categories.
The images are judged by independent professional photographers/authors. This year we have Mike Scotland and Don Silcock, both with an impressive number of prestigious awards in the diving and video industry.
Exhibition dates: Fri 28 May – Sun 20 June 2021.
Open: 9.00am – 4.30pm weekdays / 10.00am – 2.00pm weekends and public holidays.
Venue: Tank 4, Tanks Arts Centre, Edge Hill, Cairns.
