New Year’s Eve 2023 – Cairns Esplanade Family Movie & Fireworks – Cairns Regional Council
Send off 2023 with style and welcome the New Year.
Cairns Regional Council’s New Year’s Eve firework displays will be held at the family friendly time of 8.30pm and for the traditionalists there will also be the midnight fireworks at the Cairns Esplanade.
Council is hosting a Free family movie:
Screening – The New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking
Where: On the Western Events Lawn
Time: 6.45pm.
Council’s New Year’s Eve firework displays will be held at the Cairns Esplanade at:
– Family friendly time of 8.30pm
– Traditionalists time of midnight
Road Closures:
To allow for New Year’s Eve festivities, the Esplanade will be closed to all traffic between Shields St and Aplin St from 4pm on Friday 29 December to 5am on Tuesday 2 January 2024. / The Esplanade road will also be closed to all traffic between Spence St to Aplin St from 6pm on Sunday 31 December to 1am on Monday 1 January 2024.
