NorthSite Contemporary Arts Presents New Exhibitions Season | 24 August – 12 October 2024 at Northsite Contemporary Arts
Join us at NorthSite Contemporary Arts for Exhibitions Season Four, showcasing experimental and thought-provoking works that explore the environment, the body, and materials. Located at the Bulmba-Ja Art Centre in Cairns, this season features four distinctive exhibitions by artists from Far North Queensland.
Explore Jill Chism’s “Remnants,” an installation and mixed media exhibition reflecting on our connection to the natural world. Discover Luke Aleksandrow’s “The Break Collection: Sounds of the Tropics,” an immersive audio-visual experience capturing the breakage of ceramics in a rainforest soundscape. Engage with Cristina Bevilacqua’s “SKIN,” a photographic project celebrating bodily imperfections and promoting self-acceptance. Finally, delve into “Intimate Worlds,” a group exhibition showcasing artists Kim Nolan , Danish Quapoor , Lois Hayes , Bunda Art ,Malki Studio, and Anne Jillett dedicated to process and materiality, curated by Lauren Carter.
Exhibitions run from August 24th to October 12th, 2024. Open Mon-Fri 10am-5pm, Sat 10am-4pm at NorthSite Contemporary Arts, Bulmba-Ja Art Centre, 96 Abbott Street, Cairns.
