Tiina Horn
Company: Boatshed & The Raw Prawn
Position: Co-owner
Website: www.boatshedcairns.com.au & rawprawnrestaurant.com.au
Tiina Horn owns and operates, alongside her husband Carlton, both The Raw Prawn and Boatshed.
Tiina said about working in the hospitality industry, “that it is a dynamic, rewarding and sometimes challenging industry that requires persistence, grit and an ability to stay flexible – particularly in the current climate”. But she said, that is absolutely a conversation for another time!
When Tiina is not working, she is doing her best to help raise three beautiful kids – Ari (13), Huxley (12) and Reuben (9). “They’re alive, clothed and well fed”, said Tiina, “can’t help but be happy with that!”
Tiina knows she is fortunate to have a supportive husband, that she not only works with, but who encourages her to pursue other areas of interest.
For Tiina, that is creative writing. Creative writing is a long standing passion of hers and she is currently working on a novel and has dreams of one day being published.
